    The Opportunity

    As a key member of the IT team, you will contribute to the partnership with business and technology stakeholders to plan and execute implementation of technology solutions through a multitude of delivery channels. In this exciting role, you will maintain a current-state view and 6 - 12 month roadmap of the technology and development solutions and resource allocations. You will have the opportunity to lead the team in conceiving, designing and implementing enterprise applications and service oriented architectures. The key deliverable of this role is to manage and drive the output of the software development teams, through appropriate resource allocation, and implementation and governance of an Agile work environment.     Responsibilities

    • Mentor, coach, develop and grow top engineering talent.
    • Lead a team of passionate engineers to help build new platform and product capabilities for enterprise services at Patelco.
    • Foster a high performing Agile based culture of trust, teamwork, empowerment, accountability, responsiveness, and communication. Set boundaries, success criteria, and measure progress. Suggest success patterns and call out anti-patterns.
    • Advocate and drive high-quality engineering through code reviews and test automation
    • Build strong partnerships within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
    • Strong knowledge and proven experience implementing enterprise service oriented architectures and data warehouse environments.
    • Provide functional, technical and process leadership in areas such as pair programming, TDD, DevOps, Project Refactoring, Code Reviews etc.
    • Be a highly technical and an effective people manager
    • Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology roadmap.
    • Experience with mobile technologies - iOS and Android.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
    • 10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years in a management role
    • Financial Service Industry knowledge is a plus.
    • 15 years of progressively responsible related experience in IT, including 10 years of experience implementing and supporting large scale technically complex service oriented architectures and five years of experience in a management role.
    • Experience with Agile project management and methodology.
    • Experience in Applied Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) fundamentals on agile release trains , program increment planning, scrum of scrums, and dependency management.

    • Experienced developing applications using C#, ASP.Net, .NET, SQL Server, WCF, MVC , AngularJs, N-Tier applications.
    • COTS, Saas and custom web application experience in support of large scale complex service oriented architectures.
    • Experience taking projects from scoping requirements through launch of the project.
    • Desire to work in a highly-collaborative environment focused on developer experience and developer delight
    • Demonstrated ability to build awesome products and have positive impact on engineering teams
    • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
    • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
