  • Overview

    In this role, responsibilities will include processing incoming and outgoing wire transfers directly through the Federal Reserve, completing required verification processes to ensure compliance with Office of Foreign Asset Control and Bank Secrecy Act. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess the ability to multi-task in a highly-demanding environment and effectively collaborate with peers and management across the organization.

    Responsibilities


    • Act as subject matter expert for wire transfer process including domestic and international remittances

    • Possess advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance including OFAC and BSA to mitigate risk and fraud

    • Process wire transfers through direct input into FedWire system for settlement through the Federal Reserve; ensure accurate data entry with all required remittance details and beneficiary information

    • Validate source account and member information to verify source of funds and member verification

    • Complete thorough analysis of wire transfer to proactively identify suspicious transfers and protect the credit union from losses

    • Responsible for completing accurate OFAC screening of all wire transfer requests to ensure regulatory compliance including required record retention

    • Process incoming domestic and international wire transfers by reviewing wire instructions and beneficiary account to determine acceptability and accurate receipt of funds

    • Support internal team members and external team members with timely research requests through Help Desk Tickets to support service level standards

    • Effectively collaborate with Accounting and Mortgage Lending Departments for daily balancing and settlement of transfers

    • Responsible for maintenance of wire transfer supporting documents as required under record retention policy

    • Provide quality service excellence to members and internal team members by responding to Help Line calls and Help Desk Tickets within service level expectations

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications



    • Must have High School Diploma or GED

    • Minimum 2 year related experience in banking of financial institution

    • Working knowledge of payment systems such as wire transfers, ACH, or share drafts highly desired

    • Understanding of OFAC, BSA, and AML guidelines preferred

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy standards

    • Understanding of mobile deposit process a plus

    • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
