    The Opportunity

    In this role, responsibilities will include leading, managing and developing the external mortgage sales team. Train and motivate the sales team to meet department sales and service goals. Establishes plans and strategies to expand loan growth and assist in the development of training and educational programs for members and sales team.


    • Responsible for the performance and development of the external mortgage sales team.
    • Manage the sales teams activities so that the team’s sales goals are met or exceeded and quality of service goals are met or
    • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans and strategies to generate increased loan volume.
    • Maintains accurate records of all sales and activity reports.
    • Prepares monthly commission reports and management
    • Assist sales team with Home Buying Seminars and branch
    • Controls expenses to meet budget
    • Recruits, hires, and trains sales team as
    • Develop individual measurements and goals and write performance
    • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with sales team to build motivation and service
    • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company
    • Interview and hire qualified staff, provide training and development
    • Assist with origination of loans requiring confidentiality or special handling.
    • Maintains thorough and current knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies, procedures, products and services, and business ethics
    • Exercises good judgment, excellent communication and people skills
    • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs



    • AA in business related discipline or equivalent (B.S. or B.A. preferred)
    • At least 5 years prior management experience, preferably in the Home Loan Sales department

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
    • Proven ability and leadership to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
    • Ability to multi-task, demonstrated flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
    • Proficient in various computer applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
    • Knowledge of secondary market guidelines and products required (specifically FannieMae).
    • Knowledge of mortgage loan origination, processing, underwriting and closing
    • Ability to work with all levels of management
    • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

    Physical Activities/Requirements

    • Must be available to travel
