In this role, responsibilities will include all aspects of closing home loan products following established Fannie Mae and Credit Union guidelines.
Draw loan documents with Loan Origination System (LOS), verify and validate completeness of funding packet and correlate with Title/Escrow to set hard closing dates for all escrow loans
Book all loans to loan servicing system, update the LOS system with final actions and close loans
Set up impound accounts and open tax services on all first mortgages
Prepare necessary investor forms
File jackets and loan files in assigned storage areas
Follow up on and update LOS system with any trailing documentation
Wire funds to title companies
Understand all closing team tasks and exhibit proficiency in that capacity with limited errors; Achieve and maintain department goals related to quality and production
Display a sense of urgency while ensuring proper steps have been taken to maintain data integrity related to drawing documents, working with title companies and closing files
Understand the terms of different loan products, how they function and how they are serviced. Please note the percentage of time of each task and/or responsibility that is anticipated
Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures
Must have HS Diploma/GED
2+ years’ experience in mortgage environment, including 1 year experience in mortgage loan closing/funding.
Proficient in MS applications, including Word and Outlook
Experience using DU and loan origination system(s) preferred
