In this role, responsibilities will include, but not limited to: being the subject matter expert for general ledger account reconciliations and recording of day to day operational transactions, preparing specialized reports and analyses; developing accounting procedures and controls; business process re-engineering and providing leadership and assistance to lower level accounting personnel. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform complex tasks requiring advanced professional experience, knowledge and competency in accounting principles and practices. This position requires an organized, technically proficient accountant with an analytical mind and the ability to learn. They will possess the ability to utilize critical thinking, discretion and judgment on assignments that are varied, diverse and difficult in nature. Possess the ability to embrace, and meet, the changing needs of the department.
