  • Overview

    The L&D Partner helps our team members develop their skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate should be a great communicator with the ability to effectively describe complicated ideas to different audiences. You must be highly organized, proficient in time management, and possess excellent public speaking skills. This role will be constantly working across business units ensuring a consistent knowledge of credit union culture, practices, processes, products, and service expectations. 

     

    In this role, responsibilities will include facilitation of instructor led training (ILT) and Virtual ILT (VILT) training related to the implementation of key initiatives, on-boarding of new hires and continual development for existing team members.   The successful candidate identifies training needs and partners with product /feature owners and delivery channels to consult on why training might be needed and what interventions will result in the desired outcomes. It includes active involvement in the planning, developing, implementing and tracking of training activities for targeted business teams.  Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and employee performance.

     

    Highly organized, self- driven with a strong overall understanding around how the various lines of business operate and get work done. Possess a strong member service and service excellence orientation, the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, and to think creatively, while maintaining a solid reviews from participants on effectiveness of their classroom facilitation.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides training on systems, service and operations. MSP, MPP, Branch Suite, Lending 360 Loan,  Operations, Procedure and Product Knowledge, Service & Solutions
    • Provides facilitation or support to other initiatives as they are introduced. CML Sales Strategies, Service Strategies, Call Center Strategies, FiCEP, etc.
    • Administer tests and assessments to ensure understanding of material trained
    • Conducts post training reviews and assessments with trainees and their managers to ensure understanding and application to the job
    • Collaborates with Managers regarding trainee performance; develops process for continuing education , as needed
    • Collaborates with Instructional Designer to keep materials up to date, interactive, and relevant for the continuously evolving targeted audience
    • Answers questions from Team Members and educates them in the utilization of other available resources for information, such as MyGPS, MyPATELCO and intranet
    • Serve as “voice of the team member” with Product Owners and Department Leaders while consulting on readiness activities
    • Serves as an expert on systems, such as Spectrum – Summit - Branch Suite, Lending 360 and MSP/MPP.
    • Stays current and acts as a subject matter expert for policies, procedures, and processes
    • Takes responsibility for individual career development and training and seeks opportunities to stay up to date on industry expectations and trends
    • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with management.
    • Attends as an active contributor and consultant in meetings and committees as required
    • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
    • Experience within financial industry preferred
    • Eagerness to work in collaboration in fast moving/changing environment
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows sufficient to create and maintain training materials.
    • Basic understanding of Cornerstone’s learning platform is desirable.
    • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
    • Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously
    • Ability to research, analyze and propose solutions for multi-faceted problems
    • Strong communication skills

    • Manage multiple priorities
